"The mission of VMF-158, The Green Mountain Boys, is to have fun with flight sims, enjoy each other's company while online, shoot down enemy aircraft and blow up ground targets in the process. We will build a top notch virtual squadron through mutual encouragement and practice of our flying skills, bombing skills, and plain old-fashioned people skills. We will look out for each other when flying the virtual skies and when landing back at home. We will take the time to sit back and relax when things get stressful. We will never take ourselves or each other so seriously that we lose sight of the reason we fly in the first place: to have fun, enjoy each others company while online, and shoot down enemy aircraft and blow up ground targets in the process. We strive for order and mutual respect within the squadron while keeping it loose enough to prevent its becoming rigid and lifeless.
